The loan deal taking the 34-year-old shot stopper to Belgium has been made official.
Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has departed the club for Standard Liege on a six-month loan deal, the Premier League outfit has confirmed.
The Spain international, 34, had announced on Thursday that he would be departing Old Trafford via social media, but now the Old Trafford outfit has made official the deal, which brings to a close a difficult spell with a side he joined in October 2014.
Valdes arrived on a free transfer following his decision to leave Barcelona at the end of the previous campaign, which was complicated by a serious knee injury.
