Valdes: I'm difficult to live with but Guardiola had skills to manage me

The 33-year-old, who was criticized by Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal, says his former manager could "adapt his pride" and coach him properly.

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes admits he is a "very difficult person to live with" yet claims former manager Pep Guardiola had the man-management skills to match him.

The 33-year-old’s attitude was criticized by Louis van Gaal in July, stating he had excluded him from the club's preseason tour of the United States after refusing to play in the club’s Under-21 fixtures.

Valdes hit back at his manager on Twitter by posting a picture of the Under-21 fixtures he played in yet, speaking a month before the incident, he praised Guardiola for his approach to players and their "egos".
