- Gladbach have made three changes to their side that was beaten at the weekend by Hamburg. Raffael, Tony Jantschke and Johnson are recalled to the line-up this evening.
- Gladbach were unable to build on their impressive run of five wins out of six Bundesliga matches as they fell to 2-1 loss to Hamburger SV. Andreas Christensen put Dieter Hecking's men ahead, only for Filip Kostic to equalise before Bobby Wood scored a late winner for the home side.
- The game is evenly poised after the first leg of the tie, although Gladbach scored a crucial away goal at the Veltins Arena with Jonas Hofman finding the net.
