CHESTER, Pa.-- For a club that had never won a major trophy before, the Philadelphia Union played like a team capable of winning one on Wednesday night. They scored the early goal, played excellent, organized soccer, and even showed poise when the match went to the penalty shootout.
Unfortunately for the Union, Sporting Kansas City already had the experience of winning trophies before, and that experience paid off handsomely on a night when Kansas City wasn't at its best.
