Spain close to Euro 2016 - but will Diego Costa be there?

The Chelsea striker is no nearer to cementing a place in Vicente del Bosque's side and was substituted after yet another disappointing performance on Tuesday night.

Spain's participation at Euro 2016 next summer is virtually guaranteed after it beat Macedonia 1-0 in Tuesday's qualifier. Diego Costa's involvement in the continental competition, however, is not.

The Brazil-born forward has been way below his best form for Chelsea at the beginning of the 2015-16 season and is still struggling for Spain - more than a year after switching international allegiance to represent Vicente del Bosque's side at the World Cup.
