Source: West Ham still hopeful in £26M race for Bacca

The Hammers believe they have offered the best deal to the Colombia international but face competition from clubs who are in the Champions League.

West Ham retains hope of signing Carlos Bacca but the AC Milan striker is still considering offers from clubs in the Champions League, Goal UK understands.

Slaven Bilic’s side has launched a £26 million ($34M) bid for the 29-year-old, who scored 18 goals in 38 Serie A appearances last season.

The Colombia international is currently earning £60,000 a week at Milan but West Ham is ready to make him one of its highest earners, and is confident that the financial package the club has offered has not been bettered by any other side competing for the striker’s signature.
