Should Barcelona be looking at recruiting another full-back?

Another day, another round of transfer rumours, and this time they relate to Barcelona’s potential hire of a new right-back.

Only Pau Cubarsi, Pedri, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha played more matches than Jules Kounde during the 2024/25 season, evidencing just how important the Frenchman has been for Hansi Flick, even if his more natural position is as a centre-back.

And yet, a lack of strength in depth in the one area where Barca were exposed in some matches in the previous campaign has again been overlooked to this point.

If Kounde picks up an injury, the squad is fairly threadbare when it comes to an able replacement.
