Sergio Busquets will miss Saturday’s trip to Celta Vigo in La Liga due to suspension for yellow card accumulation after being booked against Athletic.
The 31-year-old was one of four players at risk of an automatic one-match ban ahead of the game and saw yellow on 32 minutes for a foul on Inaki Williams.
Busquets’ suspension comes at a bit of a bad time with Frenkie de Jong also out injured and expected to miss the trip to Balaidos.
Quique Setien still has Arturo Vidal, Arthur and Ivan Rakitic available for the match, while Riqui Puig could also be in line for a first La Liga start of the season.
