Santos Laguna announced their matches this weekend for the Femenil team and Fuerzas Básicas U17 and U20 teams had all been postponed due to an outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 novel coronavirus (COVID-19). A press release from the club explained that there were “10 positive cases on the women’s team, in addition to one person on the staff; in the set of Fuerzas Bésicas there are fifteen cases and four in staff.”
Santos Femenil also missed the first two matches of the 2020 Guard1anes after an outbreak of COVID-19, forcing the team to make up their Jornada 2 match against Rayadas on August 26 and their Jornada 1 match against Pumas on September 2.
