Ronald Koeman to appoint Alfred Schreuder as assistant coach at Barcelona - reports

Ronald Koeman is expected to be named the new Barcelona manager shortly and has reportedly already decided on his assistant coach.

According to Voetbal International, Alfred Schreuder will join Koeman at the Camp Nou and be his right-hand man.

Schreuder has previously managed FC Twente and worked with Julian Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim before taking over as head coach.

He won 12, drew seven and lost 11 of his 30 matches with the Bundesliga side, including impressive wins over both Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

Schreuder also worked as an assistant to Erik ten Hag at Ajax and was with the club for their run to the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.
