Ronald Araujo claims Ilkay Gundogan apologised to him for his comments after Barcelona’s midweek defeat to PSG in the Champions League.
Gundogan was critical of the team’s performance and suggested Araujo might have been better off not making the challenge on Bradley Barcola that resulted in a red card for the defender that changed the game.
Araujo subsequently admitted he wasn’t too impressed with Gundogan’s words, sparking speculation there was a rift between the two players.
The defender was asked about the situation after El Clasico and said the two had talked and Gundogan had said he was sorry.
