Barcelona advanced to the Copa del Rey Final yet again, and once again, Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has come out with flimsy excuses as to why the title decider cannot be played at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
“The final cannot be played at the Bernabéu due to repairs,” Pérez insisted. But this is the same story we’ve been hearing for years, and no one is buying it.
Of course I can’t definitively prove it’s not simply a flimsy excuse, but it’s more or less seen that way by everyone in Spain.
