Quique Setien has confirmed he’ll be taking legal action against Barcelona after only discovering on Wednesday he’d been sacked “following a month of complete silence from the Barcelona board.”
The 61-year-old was actually given the boot in August after Barca’s humiliating defeat to Bayern in the Champions League and was replaced by Ronald Koeman.
Yet Setien has now released a statement confirming president Josep Maria Bartomeu never spoke to him about his sacking and he only received written confirmation this week.
The former Barcelona boss explained “it wasn’t until yesterday - which was almost one month later on September 16 - that they first sent me the official communication of this sacking - without any settlement.
