Independiente del Valle sprang a major surprise by taking down River Plate in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores. Now the Ecuadorian side will look to continue their fairy tale season as they pay a visit to Pumas UNAM at the Estadio Olimpico Universtario.
Guillermo Vazquez's side will attempt to overturn a 2-1 deficit in the second leg after Independiente del Valle took control of the tie thanks to two goals from Jose Angulo.
Crucially for Pumas, though, the Universtarios grabbed an away goal and a 1-0 win would be enough to push them through to the semifinals.
