Pumas UNAM denied Clasico Capitalino win by nine-man Club América

Henry Martin’s last-gasp equalizer denied Pumas UNAM a Clasico Capitalino win over Club América, as the Universitarios squandered the chance to beat a nine-man Águilas team at the Estadio Azteca.

Pumas took an early led after 18 seconds when Felipe Mora headed in following a gorgeous cross from Martin Rodriguez.

Buoyed after conceding just seconds into the game, América went in search of an immediate equalizer.

America’s goal, however, wouldn’t arrive until the 32nd minute when Oribe Peralta tore past his defender and placed left-footed shot into the bottom corner of the net.
