Pumas and Chivas battles to a 1-1 tie in a sunny match in Mexico City. Both teams had some opportunities although Chivas had more as they were supported by a majority in the crowd even being the road team, in a sparsely attended match. Chivas remains in fifth place while Pumas sits at 6, both firmly in the Liguilla zone. Both teams will have tough away matches as Chivas plays at Pachuca while Pumas faces rivals Club America.
The first half started with Chivas coming out without top striker Alicia Cervantes, who was on the bench. A cross into the area was badly cleared by Pumas’ goalkeeper, Heidi Gonzalez and the ball fell into the path of Victoria Acevedo but the shot would go just wide.
