Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic says Philippe Coutinho made it “very clear” he “absolutely wanted” to move to the Bundesliga champions during transfer negotiations.
Coutinho had been linked with a move to PSG, but Barcelona confirmed on Monday that the Brazilian has completed a move to Germany on a season-long loan,.
And Bayern Munich are expecting a lot from their new arrival, according to Salihamidzic.
“Philippe made it very clear to us during the negotiations in Barcelona that he absolutely wanted to move to FC Bayern. He’s a world-class player with great ability, who we can deploy in a number of positions in our forward line, so the FC Bayern squad has gained even more quality.
