Paulinho came by to visit his former FC Barcelona teammates and coaches during the international break. The Brazilian, who plays for Guangzhou Evergrande in China, is still technically a Barça player, although it is expected that the Chinese club will buy him outright soon.
Paulinho came to Barcelona in controversial circumstances after a turbulent summer transfer window last year. But he cemented his place in fan’s memories with a good goal return. He also kept his place as a starter for Brazil in the FIFA World Cup. In the end, however, he never fully convinced the coaches and staff, who were willing to let him return to the Chinese league.
