The Brazil captain scored the fastest goal in the competition's history after netting with just 15 seconds on the clock in Wednesday's semifinal against Honduras.

Neymar has broken an Olympic record after scoring the fastest goal in the competition's history, FIFA has confirmed.

The Brazil captain netted after just 15 seconds in the mens' semifinal against Honduras to better Janine Becker of Canada's women's team, who scored with just 19 seconds on the clock against Australia on Aug. 4.

It was nearly elation to devastation for Neymar, however, as he collided with Luis Lopez in the build up to his opening goal and was stretchered off after receiving treatment.
