Glasgow Rangers skipper James Tavernier has been targeted by Newcastle United but the Ibrox club are determined to keep hold of his services.
According to reports from the Daily Mail, the Magpies are interested in bringing back their former player to St James’ Park this summer, but the Gers are demanding a fee in the region of £8 million for the right back.
Tavernier is a key player for the Ibrox club, and Steven Gerrard would love to retain his services for the upcoming season. However, every player has a price, and if Newcastle can meet Rangers’ valuation of the player, the Gers could let him go.
