New York Red Bulls 1-0 Columbus Crew (1-2 Agg.): Crew through

The Crew's 2-0 first-leg victory was enough to put the club through into MLS Cup, which it will host.

The Columbus Crew will host the MLS Cup final, with a 1-0 defeat in Harrison, N.J., Sunday giving the Crew a 2-1 aggregate win over the New York Red Bulls in the Eastern Conference final.

The first half was played at a wild pace, but didn't produce any goals, much less the fastest goal of MLS playoff history as the first leg did. The first half did have a number of head-turning incidents, though. The most notable may have been Crew midfielder Tony Tchani getting in a skirmish with Mike Grella.
