The Darijo Srna saga continues. The Shakhtar Donetsk fullback is Barcelona’s #1 target to replace Aleix Vidal in the current transfer window. There appears to be an offer on the table for both the transfer fee and a contract for the player.
But that latter part is the sticking point, according to a report written by Francesc Aguilar for Mundo Deportivo. See, Srna is used to a large paycheck for playing in Ukraine, and Barcelona do not currently want to pay that high a wage for an aging fullback.
To complete the move, Srna would have to accept a lower salary.
