Borussia Dortmund defeated Monterrey by a 2-1 score to book their ticket to the Quarterfinals. Monterrey, the last Liga MX team in the tournament, gave a great performance especially in the 2nd half but fell short of a goal. Dortmund will now face Real Madrid in the Quarterfinal, in a repeat of the 2024 Champions League Final.
The 1st half started with their best squads as they looked for a place in the Quarterfinals. After a good pass, Karim Adeyemi had a good opportunity but took too long to get off a shot and the ball was cleared off his feet by Gerardo Arteaga.
