México Women’s National Team to host Colombia

The Mexican Football Federation (FMF) announced a long rumored friendly for the Women’s National Team against Colombia. The match will take place on Tuesday, September 21st at Estadio Azteca, the second such match since the “restart” of the program at the start of the year. The last time El Tri Femenil played at El Coloso de Santa Úrsula was a 3-1 win over Costa Rica back on February 20.

The last time México played Colombia was during the 2019 Pan American Games. getting a 2-2 draw at Estadio Universidad San Marcos in Lima, Perú. While it was a decent result, it left México out of the knockout stage and the team finished fifth overall.
