Mexico defeated the United States by a 2-1 score to win back to back Gold Cup titles. Mexico bounced back from an early goal to be the better team in 90 minutes and get a deserved victory to win their 10th edition of the Gold Cup. Mexico now become the top team in CONCACAF after also winning the CONCACAF Nations League in March. Mexico will now have to play friendlies before the 2026 World Cup as they face no official competition.
The 1st half started with Mexico making two changes from the lineup against Honduras. Jesus Gallardo returned from suspension to take the place of Mateo Chavez and Jorge Sanchez took the place of Julian Araujo.
