Mexico and United States draw into group of death in CONCACAF U-17 Championship

The CONCACAF U-17 championship draw was held Tuesday, and Mexico were drawn into Group C, which ended up being the tournament’s “Group of Death”.

Mexico got the hardest group in every single pot and will share the group wit the United States, Jamaica and El Salvador. It's an uncharacteristically hard group and the total opposite of the incredibly weak Groups A and B. While Mexico should be the favorite as the most dominant team in this category, it will be a very tough situation where the young El Tri side can't afford any missteps.

Mexico is the current CONCACAF U-17 champion and is a world powerhouse in this category, as they have have gone on to win two U-17 World Cup titles and have three straight semifinals appearances.
