Seconds away from their first win in Torreón since 2004, Toluca gave up a stoppage time goal as Santos pulled a draw from the jaws of defeat. Santos squandered a great first half, but thanks to Eduardo “Mudo” Aguirre’s last minute golazo were able to get a point when it seemed none were possible.
Santos started out with the confidence of a team that has been all but invincible at home. They kept possession well in the early minutes, and in the fourth Ayrton Preciado played a great ball in for Aguirre, but goalkeeper Gustavo Gutiérrez read the play well and smothered the shot from Aguirre.
