Barcelona have decided to place their trust in Marc Casado and are in talks to offer the 20-year-old midfielder a new long-term contract at the club.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has the latest on the situation and says talks have been opened between both parties on a deal that will run until 2027.
Barcelona are said to view Casado as “an important talent for present and future’ which suggests he could well be part of the first-team squad next season.
