Marc-Andre ter Stegen talks Barcelona back passes after Getafe win

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been talking about Quique Setien’s tactics in the 2-1 win over Getafe on Saturday.

The game saw centre-backs Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique taking the goal kicks in an attempt to break the visitors’ high press.

The tactic saw Ter Stegen record 69 attempted passes, his most in a Barcelona shirt, but brought whistles from the Camp Nou crowd at times during the match.

Ter Stegen talked about the amount of back passes and urged patience from supporters.

“On goal-kicks the centre backs sometimes start the play to avoid pressure from opponents from the first pass,” he said.
