Manchester United agree January transfer for Spanish international

Manchester United have agreed to let go of the former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes. The World Cup winner will secure a free transfer to Espanyol in January.

Valdes fell out with manager Louis Van Gaal after signing with Manchester United and has been forced to train with the reserves since then.

The Spanish international has played just two games for the club since his move from Camp Nou and is now set to end his Old Trafford nightmare.

A report from Goal.com suggests that Manchester United are willing to let the keeper leave on a free six months before the end of his contract and Valdes has been in advanced talks with Espanyol.
