Managerless Chelsea want Barcelona’s Ronald Araujo to replace Thiago Silva

Ronald Araujo appears to have attracted a new admirer with the latest updates on the Uruguayan suggesting Chelsea are interested in signing the defender.

The Blues don’t have a manager currently, after axing Mauricio Pochettino this week, but Todd Boehly and Co. are apparently still thinking about signings.

Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Chelsea have taken an interest in Araujo as they search for a replacement for Thiago Silva.

The Brazilian has walked away from Stamford Bridge at the end of his contract and will return to Brazil to play for Fluminense.
