Man City make final offer for Sterling

Manchester City have made an increased offer of £40 million -- £35 million up front with £5 million add-ons -- for Liverpool's Raheem Sterling but will not go any higher, sources have told ESPN FC.

Sterling's future at Anfield is uncertain after his agent said he would not be signing an extension to his current contract which expires in 2017 and Liverpool rejected a reported bid of £25 million plus £5 million add-ons last week.

Liverpool already rejected an enquiry from rivals Manchester United for the 20-year-old in May and have repeatedly said that they won't sell the winger, however there is no indication yet that they have turned down City's latest bid, with the club unwilling to offer more.
