Lionel Messi has sent a fax to FC Barcelona telling the club he wants to cancel his contract, according to news first broken by Argentine outlet TyC Sports.
Messi wants to use a clause in his contract that allows him to leave at any point between seasons, although it is expected that there will be negotiations before he actually voids the contract.
