Liga MX Week 9 Roundup: Cuauhtémoc Blanco's farewell, Clasico Regio, Chivas finally win

Week 9 of Liga MX kicked off on Friday with a dreadful 0-0 draw between Xolos de Tijuana and Leon. Fortunately, there were plenty of goals to talk about on the rest of the weekend and it all started at the Estadio Azteca.

Club America celebrated Cuauhtémoc Blanco's career with a 4-1 thrashing of Monarcas Morelia. The club registered the 43-year-old for one final match as a symbol for the club's 100-year anniversary, and it was Blanco who had the first big chance of the game when he weaved his way through defenders and struck the crossbar with a well-taken shot.
