No upsets in the Liguilla quarterfinals, however all of the matchups had their share of intrigue and displays of heart. Monterrey 5, UNAM Pumas 1: Pumas started off on the right foot, getting the first goal of the series at home when Edna Santamaria was able to beat goalkeeper Claudia Lozoya to a through ball and shot it home in the 57th minute. Mónica Monsiváis would equalize ten minutes later when she hit a shot from 20 yards out to beat goalkeeper Melany Villeda.
