Cheyli Almejo started the scoring in the 7th minute for the visitors, but goals from Daniela Moroy in the 42nd and Daniela Fuentes in the 61st saw Cruz Azul up late. Brenda León would get credited with the equalizer in the 71st, although it was really an error on the part of Cruz Azul goalkeeper Mariana Zárraga that allowed the tying goal.
