Lamine Yamal had to receive a painkiller injection in order to play against Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League, according to the Catalan press.

Officially, no one from FC Barcelona has confirmed this, and outside observers would find the news surprising given how well he played.

It’s known that during warm-ups, Yamal seemed to sense pain and went back for a medical test, before finally coming back to play the game. The report says the winger felt a pain in his quadriceps on his right thigh and then was given the injection in order to help him play through the pain.
