Celtic signed Greek striker Giorgios Giakoumakis on deadline day and former Premier League striker and England international Kevin Phillips believes that the Hoops fans should be excited about their summer signing.
The 26-year-old was in exceptional form in the Dutch league last season and he managed to score 26 goals for VVV Venlo.
“I think they should be excited,” Phillips told Football Insider.
“I say it every week and again, this is no disrespect to the Scottish league, the Dutch league is probably on a par with it.
