Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Gutierrez Ties Club Record

Sporting Kansas City is back in the Conference finals, their first since MLS Cup 2013, and their first in the Western Conference finals since 2007 after a 4-2 win over Real Salt Lake on Sunday at Children’s Mercy Park. Sporting had to hold on late but got the job down. Designated Player, Felipe Gutierrez had himself a day, recording two assists as well as playing in the ball to Diego Rubio that won KC the penalty kick that proved to be the game winner. The two assists on the day helped him tie a team record for assists in a single year in the playoffs.
