Jordan Morris among 20 called to U.S. Olympic qualifying team

The Stanford standout will be part of Andi Herzog's squad looking to clinch a spot in Rio.

After playing the hero for the United States senior national team earlier this year, Stanford forward Jordan Morris will look to help the U.S. to another triumph over CONCACAF rivals.

The goalscorer against Mexico in an April friendly is part of Andi Herzog's 20-man squad called for Olympic qualification. The team will start group play Oct. 1 against Canada before playing Cuba and Panama.

The top two teams advance out of each group to the semifinals with the winners of those heading to the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
