Joan Garcia has said an emotional farewell to Espanyol fans as he prepares to make his move to Barcelona official.
The goalkeeper has returned from holiday and posted a message on Instagram to say farewell to Espanyol that is titled “Thanks for everything, pericos. All the way!” He’s also removed all mentions of Espanyol from his profile.
Barcelona are expected to make Garcia’s signing official later today and then present him as a new player on Friday.
The Catalans have paid his 25 million euro release clause already and agreed a six-year contract with the goalkeeper.
