I’ve read he could be sold - Julian Nagelsmann talks Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann admits he’s read about Marc-Andre ter Stegen potentially leaving Barcelona this summer but says he’s still the national team’s No.1.

Barcelona are said to be willing to offload Ter Stegen this summer if Joan Garcia arrives from Espanyol.

Nagelsmann was asked about the transfer talk at a press conference ahead of Germany’s Nations League clash with Portugal and offered up the following response.

“I’ve spoken with Hansi Flick – but certainly not about Barcelona’s transfer plans,” he said.

“I’ve read that he’s a potential candidate for sale, but that’s not my job”

The Germany coach went on to add that he still sees Ter Stegen has the first choice for his team despite only just being back from a long-term knee injury.
