Ignacio Ambriz out as Club America manager

Club America have confirmed that Ignacio Ambriz has left the club after more than a year in charge of Las Aguilas.

Ambriz’s exit comes after Club America suffered a 2-0 defeat to Leon at the Estadio Azteca on Saturday.

The 51-year-old Mexican manager has been under pressure all season, with growing concerns over negative results and the club’s style of play.

Under Ambriz, success in the CONCACAF Champions League has been the only consolation in recent years for a club that is used to challenging for the Liga MX title every year.
