Frenkie de Jong has admitted he wants to stay at Barcelona and sign a new contract and is hoping a resolution can be found soon.
The midfielder has reportedly axed his agent in a bid to speed up the process and spoke about his future after playing for the Netherlands on Saturday night.
“No idea when it will happen,” he told Voetbal International.
“But I would like to stay and the club wants that too, so you will normally find a solution.”
De Jong also says he’s looking forward to a holiday soon and is glad the team aren’t playing in the Club World Cup.
