Harry Kane is, as Tottenham supporters are increasingly keen to remind everyone, the ultimate three-season wonder. Against Everton he was virtually unplayable at times, but that is hardly new; impressive on this occasion was that the 25-yard drive from which he opened the scoring came from his first meaningful involvement after a subdued start to the game. He has become the man to light up an occasion and, after coolly slotting in a second, came close to scoring a fourth hat trick in 10 games. But let's not be greedy; Kane, with 24 goals this season in 28 games across all competitions, may well be the best centre-forward around at the moment.
