Barcelona boss Hansi Flick currently has 35 players in his pre-season training squad but is ready to wield the axe ahead of the tour to Asia.
The German coach is planning on taking around 26 players on the pre-season tour, meaning he is going to have to hand out some disappointing news in the coming days.
Flick confirmed his decision to the media on Thursday morning as he met members of the press before the latest pre-season training session.
The big question now is who will be left out and there are plenty of candidates, not least Marc-Andre ter Stegen who has been training alone and is now considering surgery for a back problem.
