Barcelona face Benfica on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie, and there’s a doubt in midfield as Gavi and Dani Olmo are fighting for the number 10 spot in the lineup.
Gavi missed out on the weekend win against Real Sociedad because of illness and didn’t take part in the training sessions ahead of the trip to Portugal, putting his status in doubt for Wednesday’s clash.
Olmo seems to be the favorite to start given Gavi’s situation, but Hansi Flick was not willing to reveal his plan for the starting XI in Tuesday’s press conference.
