Barcelona manager Hansi Flick confirmed Wojciech Szczesny as the starting goalkeeper for the rest of the Champions League campaign and also discussed his team’s strategy for the semi-finals against Inter Milan.
The coach spoke in a press conference on Tuesday and was asked about his plans for the goalkeeper position, with Marc-André ter Stegen officially cleared to return to action after a long recovery from a knee injury.
Flick was initially non-committal on whether to keep Wojciech Szczesny or replace him with Ter Stegen, which would have ruled out the Polish shot-stopper for the rest of the European season due to UEFA’s squad rules.
