Hamburg player Leistner given three-match ban for entering crowd and attacking fan following cup defeat

Hamburg defender Toni Leistner has been banned for three games after he went into the crowd and attacked an opposition fan following his side's loss in the DFB-Pokal.

The German Football Association (DFB) sports court handed former QPR player Leistner a five-match suspension, however, two of those games have been suspended for a year.

Leistner, who has also been fined €8,000 (£7,300/$9,500) for his actions, has 24 hours to appeal the verdict.
