Guardado and Reyes face fitness tests but are included in Mexico’s final 23-man World Cup roster

Andres Guardado and Diego Reyes will have to prove their fitness but have been included in Mexico’s final 23-man roster for the 2018 World Cup.

Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio has named Pachuca midfielder Erick Gutierrez as the player to move into the final 23 should one of the two players not recover in time.

Both Andres Guardado and Diego Reyes are expected starters and both have been struggling with injuries in recent weeks. Guardado recently underwent surgery on his right fibula, while Diego Reyes has been struggling with a hamstring injury.
